PICTURES ACROSS TIME

Jalil's friends and comrades, 2018

On April 19, 2018 a historic meeting took place at Sullivan Correctional Facility in New York State when Lenny Foster of the International Indian Treaty Council and the American Indian Movement (AIM) met with former Black Panther Party/Black Liberation Army members Jalil Muntaqim, co-founder of the Jericho Amnesty Movement, and Robert Seth Hayes. Both men are still incarcerated, each having served more than 45 years in prison.

This is a renewal of ties between AIM and the BPP/BLA, so we look forward to working in close collaboration in the future, especially on the Spirit of Nelson Mandela International Campaign.

Unfortunately, the photographer had a callout and had to leave the visiting room, so we were unable to have a picture of Lenny with Seth. Hopefully, Lenny will be able to visit Seth and Jalil together on his next visit.
